Bio
Laure Kczekotowska comes from a multicultural background, her father was Polish, her mother half Scottish/half-Irish, and, thanks to family handcraft traditions, she learnt sewing techniques and embroidery as a child.
After studying Interior Architecture, Economy and a masters degree in Law, she first worked as an artists agent and press attaché before dressmaking became her sole activity.
In 1998 she launched her first brands: at first under the name "Laure K" for her wedding gowns and "Laure Kczekotowska" for her haute couture designs.
Her pronounced taste for arts, cinema and literature influence the spirit of her collections, all of which include her overall contemporary and glamourous style.
From 2002 to 2006 Laure K presented her collections within the sphere of the prestigious Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne.
Having started a family which she dearly cherishes, Laure K decided in 2006 to develop her own network. She launched a pret-à-porter collection under the brand "LK by LK" (evening dresses and wedding gowns) and she decides, as an extension of her haute couture LK brand, to create a new brand "Always true in my fashion" in collaboration with Chrystelle Cavalier,
In parallel she has been invloved, for over 10 years, as designer and artistic director for a large number of different projects in advertising, theatre, cinema and merchandising.
Currently she is working on the new version if "The Wizard of Oz" directed by John Boorman.
